Global Pre Sales Leader

As the Presales Manager, you will have accountability for the growth of the Presales function across the US and then Globally – enabling the vision through the growth of the function and team. You’ll have a good understanding of cloud-native technologies, the common pitfalls of cloud-native adoption, the journey and how to define and execute strategies to enable the customers’ adoption. You will have a huge passion for customer success, for how technology can enable a customers’ business objectives, as well as for educating the industry as a whole on where Appvia and technology is going.

Key Responsibilities

● Work closely with the customer to identify key customer business and technical challenges

● Develop a sales playbook that matches the personas, ideal customer profile and sales motion needed for team success

● Build solutions, provide technical guidance and educate the customer throughout

● Be equipped at understanding what materials are needed, even if they are missing in the business, to help educate and move a sale through a pipeline

● Passionate about solving customer problems with the services, products and tools that Appvia provides as well as aware of competitor and complementary products in our space

● Scale with the Presales function, working with the leadership team for Appvia working alongside our Product Director, Marketing Director, alongside our Sales and Channel Leaders

● Drive to improve the product market fit based on customer insights into the product and engineering teams

● Develop trusting relationships and identify key people for workshops to help produce customer success plans and statements of work

● Consult with a range of partners and industry leaders, from C-level executives through to developers

● Collaborate with product managers and engineers to help shape the product roadmap

● Work closely with key accounts to proactively find opportunities for customers to gain value from Appvia

● Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to help drive content and education in identified industry problem areas

● Provide detailed reviews of ways of working, key deliverables, timelines and operational issues

● Write blogs and perform talks on leading industry topics Requirements

● Experience as a Technical Account Manager, Solutions Engineer / Architect, Pre-sales with implementation and/or leadership experience in these domains

● Knowledge of Golang, Python or Ruby

● Experience of working closely or within development teams to appreciate good development hygiene and ways of working, as well as the challenges that they face

● Hands-on experience of operational constraints and common issues from networking, databases and general cloud-based pitfalls ● Thorough understanding of DevOps practices and tools, including but not limited to; CI / CD, Docker, Kubernetes and Serverless

● Enterprise customer-facing experience

● Good problem resolution skills and understanding of symptoms to identify the root cause

● Ability to prioritise tasks accordingly in relation to customer and business needs

● Exceptional communication skills

● A constant desire to want to see customers succeed
